Balmoral Oaks Eagle is just a tremendous bull. He has length, depth structure and power, I could go on and on! Les and Shelly from Prospect Hill only offer a very few straws of semen each year, and are usually only sold at auction. I have bid many times, but failed to secure any until this year. On Eagle’s sire’s side he is full of Muridale and Saskvalley breeding. On his dam’s side he is from the long established Doris female line with splashes of Muridale, Alta Cedar, Eionmor and Belmore to name just four of the great herds.

HC Maid Marion 18H was sired by the renowned bull Hill Haven Firestorm 28C. What Firestorm has not achieved in both his Showing career and as a dominant sire within the Shorthorn world is not worthy of mentioning. Then to compliment Firestorm in this pairing we used probably one of my best donor cow purchases from Shadybrook Farms, SBF Scotty’s Maid 48Z. 48Z was just a great cow in every way. Lady Margie is without doubt going to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She has given everything to her first calf as a very young 2 year old as can be seen from her photograph below.
