Wenmar Beef Shorthorns presents our Melita Rose Family of beef shorthorn cattle. Our aim is to breed quality bulls and heifers suitable to carry the breed forward onto the next generation. Wenmar Beef Shorthorns are members of PCHS, and all our cattle carry a very high health status.
Photo taken August 2022. Melita Rose M164 is definitely one of my favourite cows, every time I walk into her field I am drawn to her. In 2021 she had a bull calf which was stacked with potential, but unfortunately we lost him with a twisted gut at 5 months old. In 2022 she produced us our best heifer calf. M164 has tremendous breeding from her sire Crooked Post Stockman and the great Waukaru Patent's mother Waukaru 12H Melita Rose, a perfect blend of Canadian and US proven genetics. I always say that anything is for sale at our farm, at the right price. I just hope that no one comes along and makes me an offer I cannot refuse!

Photo taken August 2022. Melita Rose S43 we think is something a little bit special. She has tremendous growth and is following right behind her mother M164 in type and build. We had high hopes when we bred her mother to North East Legend. She currently has fulfilled our hopes, certainly as a heifer. Her pedigree is stuffed full of premier genetics from Canada and the US. She and her mother are the type that will be kept with us for some time to come we hope.
