Jilt Family

Wenmar Beef Shorthorns presents our Jilt Family of beef shorthorn cattle. Our aim is to breed quality bulls and heifers suitable to carry the breed forward onto the next generation. Wenmar Beef Shorthorns are members of PCHS, and all our cattle carry a very high health status. We are fully accredited free of IBR, BVD and Lepto. We are also Johnes level 1 accredited.

Photo taken September 2019. Jilt L138 has proven herself as a great first time mother and will no doubt strengthen our Jilt female line. We unfortunately lost her mother in early 2018, so L138 is has a job to do for us here for a few years to come. She has a quiet freindly nature which is a good thing being a very large framed young cow. I just love the Jilt cow family with their strength, size and spirit.

Myostatin status ZERO

Photo not available. Jilt P031 is sired by Wenmar Major, a tremendous bull sired by the great Crooked Post Stockman. P031's mother L138 is a large framed first calver who has really come up to the mark in developing her mothering nature. She is caring and milky; what more could we ask for! P031 is going to fit right into the Jilt family model, but maybe a little quieter than some.

Photo taken January 2021. Jilt P028 is sired by Wenmar Major, a tremendous bull sired by the great Crooked Post Stockman. The Jilt family always produce heifers with presence and style that rarely develop into anything other than strong powerful cows and good mothers. P028's mother, J105, owes us nothing and just continues producing heifers with the Jilt family stamp.
