Donor Cows

We now own a small herd of very select Beef Shorthorn donor cows out in Canada. The cows are all owned in a partnership and reside in Saskatchewan, Western Canada. They live on a farm and rear calves naturally for the vast majority of their productive lives. We are not using the cows every year for ET work. We are now able to offer our customers a unique opportunity to breed their own embryos.

  • Select your chosen donor cow (below)
  • Select your type of bull, that you would like to use as the sire of your embryos
  • Decide your target number of embryos you would like

We will then give you a fixed price quote, for what you would like. If you then wish to proceed, all that we will require is a deposit from you. We will then pay for and arrange everything else including embryo collection, testing and export documentation, and finally shipment into the UK.

HC Lady Margie 1E

Lady Margie 1E was purchased in a group of embryos from the USA; what a wise purchase that is turning out to have been. 1E is a full sister to the great bull Shadybrook Qantas 2B. He proved his credentials over the years at Shadybrook Farms in Quebec. We are delighted how 1E has raised her first calf 26G calving down as a 2 year old. Be sure to check her out as another one of this cow family joining our donor group in 2021. 1E although reared in Saskatchewan Canada, carries 100% Australian genetics from the renowned herds of Marellan and Royala.

SBF Scotty's Maid 48Z

Scotty’s Maid was purchased by us at Shadybrook’s bi-annual sale in 2016; she was the standout cow at their sale that year. She blends the best of Australian and Canadian genetics in a powerful female and produces very good impressive growth, maternal and carcass EPD’s. The sires great grandmother is the fantastic matriach cow Shadybrook Picture 201M. On the dams side of her pedigree are Australian genetics from both Maellan and Spry's.
